Welcome to Ardwyn House

Through the unique Art Nouveau door you enter the panelled lobby with its magnificent Welsh Ash and Oak flooring. The lighting here and throughout the house shines through typical period hanging shades. The shelves here are crammed with books and curiosities.

Turning to the left you will find the Library / Snooker room. The oak panelled walls have shelves filled with a wonderful collection of period books in English and Welsh. Settle into one of the comfortable armchairs with a glass of Port after dinner or enjoy a quiet game of snooker

Art Nouveau Dining

On your right, as you move down the hallway you find the door to the fully licensed Dining room and Sitting room. This door is decorated with a fabulous Art Nouveau copper doorplate.

This room is over 35 feet long with a door leading to the terrace. It is decorated in authentic style, and displays a breathtaking hand-blocked frieze between the picture rail and the deep plaster coving. The floors here are also laid in Welsh Oak, which marries well with the Edwardian furnishings and décor. Potted palms, old pictures and a piano add to the flavour. The dining room can be arranged to accommodate large parties for celebrations or meetings. There is a comfortable lounge to relax in before or after dinner with Television, Video and DVD.

Luxurious Period Bedroom

Climbing the stairs to the first floor landing where the guest bedrooms are located, the first door on the left will be the door to Bedroom 1. This room has double aspect views over the distant mountains and is decorated in muted shades of cream and burgundy. The double bed and furniture are early Edwardian. There is a feature cast iron fireplace and the en-suite bathroom has a roll-top bath and half-panelled walls.

Bedroom 2 is the second door on the left. This room has double aspect views and is decorated in a mellow Sanderson style. There is a wonderful restored brass double bed to complement the furnishings. The en-suite shower room has a large walk-in shower. As with all the bedrooms, there is a Television and Video in the room along with some refreshments.

Bedroom 3 is on the right. This room also has double aspect views and a period wooden double bed to match the wardrobe and washstand, which are Art Nouveau classics. The bathroom is large and has a feature cast iron fireplace and a double-ended roll-top bath. This room is decorated in a rich William Morris print.
All rooms are made up as doubles but can be turned in to a twin with an additional bed.

Peace & Tranquillity

Plans are laid to open more bedrooms in the near future, each having en-suite facilities.
